A Chartered Town Planner, Ralph brings with him a wealth of experience, having worked with local authorities' planning teams in London.
Ralph graduated from the University of Manchester with a Masters in Town and Country Planning and has been a Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute since 2013. He began his career with Salmon Planning before broadening his experience across London and the South East, working for Westminster City Council and planning consultancies Iceni Projects and Maddox Associates, where he represented a range of developers and land promoters on complex major projects.
At Iceni, Ralph was seconded to Fairview New Homes, gaining a housebuilder's perspective on residential development across Barnet, Enfield and Hertfordshire. He has overseen significant schemes including a high-rise build-to-rent development in Ealing, enabling development in the Green Belt in Surrey, and a strategic allocation in Norfolk.
Ralph is currently a director at St Congar, a specialist land and asset management firm, where he leads on in-house planning, development management, business development and site acquisitions. St Congar is promoting mixed-used developments across the South of England. Ralph brings this breadth of experience back to Salmon Planning as a Non-Executive Director, providing valued strategic advice on housing and employment sites.

The advice I received was extremely helpful both in its decisiveness and clarity and backed up by a very useful written report. I wish I had contacted a planning-led architectural firm first off rather than having expensive plans drawn up by an architect and then refused by the Local Authority! It would have been a much cheaper exercise.

I was very pleased with the services and advice provided by Salmon Planning. I also thought the in-house architecture / drawing service worked well - saving costs, time and generally making things far more efficient. We managed to easily secure consent for something that I thought might be fraught with issues. Nigel is also very well informed on local / Somerset matters. Highly recommend!
